The plan for today was to get up and out early. Well, that didn’t happen. Had a leisurely breakfast and never left the campground until around 11 am. Spent the entire day (until closing) walking and exploring Greenfield Village. It is quite a place and worth the visit. Henry Ford was quite the man. He developed the museum and Greenfield in the early 1900’s and moved many historic buildings to this area including a few from Massachusetts. He wanted to preserve the history and aspects of American life. Within the museum and complex are artifacts from the White House, the original building that was the Wright Brothers bicycle shop, Robert Frost’s home, Ford’s original birth home too many more to mention. By the end of the 5 th hour of walking our feet and legs were throbbing. It was a great day and very educational. Went to the grocery store to restock the RV and headed back. Too tired to cook so had sandwiches. We planned to head out but were so tired we spent the night. We thought we might get some energy to get out to visit the family again but didn’t so went to bed instead and slept like rocks. We will be heading up to the UP in the morning. Will update when we run into WiFi again.
